Abby Snowden

Developer, Relator, Empathy, Learner, Responsibility

Hi, my name is Abby. I'm a communications professional based in Texas.

Originally from the Chicago Suburbs (Grayslake for those of you who are from Chicago and want to know that I am distinctly not from within the city limits).

I attended the University of Kentucky for my undergraduate in psychology, and my masters in sport and exercise psychology. During this time, I had the opportunity to be involved in a variety of organizations, clubs and internships which inspired my love of higher education and supporting the student experience.

Following my time in Kentucky, I pursued my masters in sport management at Louisiana State University where I completed an assistantship in Housing and Residential Life. This assistantship truly changed the trajectory of my career, and I am so thankful that I took a detour to Baton Rouge during 2020.

Currently I serve as the Assistant Director for Communications for Housing and Residential Life at Texas State University. Texas State has allowed me so many opportunities to grow and try new things. Whether it is implementing a new software to track email communications, developing new promotional items (like a 30' bobcat head) or finding new and exciting ways to engage students on social media, our team has given me the resources to help students succeed.

Outside of the office, I enjoy getting to travel, going to concerts, finding new restaurants in the Austin area, and binge watching shows on Bravo.

Go Big Blue, Geaux Tigers, & Eat 'em Up Cats.
